Article: 2024 Corvette Fest Memories

The 19th Annual GMC Corvette Set Corvette Fest was held at Canterbury Village on Aug. 31st of this year. There were many great Corvettes at this show and the people who brought their Corvettes created many memories. Jim McClelland, one of the club members, had talked to many happy participants and recorded some of their stories. Below are stories of three families who shared information with Jim and allowed him to take their pictures. Click the link under each story to view the pictures.

A birthday celebration - A daughter (pale yellow blouse) took her father (Corvette hat) and mother (not pictured) to Corvette Fest to celebrate his birthday. Her Father is a lover of Corvettes. She also took her son (not pictured), her daughter (wearing a black shell top and unique backpack), and her niece. The Grandmother was very proud of her Grandchildren.

Beauty Queens - Two sisters who are beauty queens were at Corvette Fest. Miss St. Clair Shores Teen is 16 yr. old Angie Yonan and Miss St. Clair Shores is her sister. The girl with the pink purse who is seen reviewing the judging sheets with her Father and helping to accept his trophy may also be related. Corvette Fest had both beautiful Corvettes and beautiful girls.

R3DRUBY and White Tiger - The Duenaz's are from Port Huron and they were very impressed with their first Corvette Fest at Canterbury. They were alerted to this event by a flyer left in their car at another car show. The Ruby Red, 40th Anniversary Corvette belongs to Christy and White Tiger belongs to her husband. They loved the venue and are sure to return.
